For adolescents (between the ages of 13 to 25) I usually see both the adolescent and the parent or carer at the initial assessment. Sometimes older adolescents prefer to be seen alone and in these circumstances I will always speak with their parents prior to assessment. Following our assessment I think together with the young person and their family about what type of treatment would be best: individual, family, parent support or a combination of all three.

Things you might be struggling with or worrying about:
-Anxiety – including phobias, panic, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and health anxiety
-Low self-esteem
-Depression or low mood
-School-based difficulties
-Anger and conduct difficulties
